No.12 Hebridean Isles I
Sailing
from Mallaig to the Isle of Canna, and from Arisaig to the
beautiful Isles of Eigg, Muck & Rum with an escort of Dolphins.
These are the distinctly different Small Isles - each with individual
features. Canna has a unique medieval prison, built on top of a shoreside
high crag to contain the wandering romantic urges of - a wife! Attention
has been drawn from near and far to the community purchase of the Isle
of Eigg, but this also has a grim historic backcloth of Clan genocide.
Kinloch Castle on Rum is the ultimate example of Edwardian opulence, cast
in a time warp just as it was left in the early 1920s, played to
tunes on its own mechanical orchestrian. And Muck belies its name in just
being a very pleasant Hebridean island.
Running Time approximately 48 minutes
